First Day of The Final Month
Felt like it was yesterday I was in my bed, with hot drink and a storybook in my hands, enjoying the 2010 new year eve to myself. But today, it is already 1st December!!! Gosh.. time really flies, but I think this time they took a very fast rocket.. coz I think I missed my February till November.. didn’t felt I already went through the whole year.. hahaha…
Anyway, today, 1st December, is the World Aids Day. It is created to make awareness to the public, worldwide about Aids and especially HIV. HIV is a virus that attacks our body system that makes our body could not protect us from diseases. The HIV could be transferred by semen, vaginal fluids for people who having sexual intercourse, by breast feeding, from a mother to a child, and by blood by the carrier. HIV has no cure till today. It is really scary that every year, the number of people were affected by HIV is increasing. From the past 2 decades, in Malaysia, since our first Malaysian diagnosed, I don’t feel that we are much aware of the HIV and AIDS, because the increasing numbers shows that we, do not care and do not know how to help prevent this.
Abandon babies, teenage pregnancy, abortion, and the ‘social sex’ that have been the lifestyle of certain Malaysian people. It’s shown that our community is having a low morale value. Having a safe sex or, even better, having only one partner, could save you from this illness, I mean both illness, HIV and the social illness. Heh.. :P.
AIDS should scares the drug addicts too. This addict should aware they are going to be dead sooner or later cause by those stupid drugs, but they can die faster by sharing the needles.when u already diagnoses HIV positive, u might ease up your chance to AIDS. Heh.. sorry if I offended anyone, but if u take drugs, seriously, that’s stupid!
So, why don’t we cherish this day, by helping spread some info on AIDS on this World AIDS Day. Tell them that we should help this people with AIDS and HIV, yeah.. they made mistake, but still, being a human, we should have humanity value in us. Please don’t discriminate, or hate them or even isolate them. We have to accept them in the community. We could not get infected by touching the HIV carrier, or by socializing with them. We could still be friends, employ them and support this event. Wear your red ribbon!! Yeay!
I’m not that sure the activities and event happening in Malaysia, but u can still support by visiting this page F http://www.worldaidsday.org/
Have a Magical December peeps!!
